On Sunday, July 22, 2012, IIM Kozhikode released the
bulletin of CAT 2012 in leading national newspapers of the country. As
reported by MBAUniverse.com on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, the CAT bulletin for the year 2012 is announced in all the leading dailies. As
per previous announcements, CAT 2012 will be held from Thursday, October
11, 2012 to Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
The following are some of the most important information from CAT 2012 bulletin:
CAT 2012 Eligibility
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) candidates, the eligibility percentage is 45 percent.
Candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply provided they can submit a certificate of their eligibility latest by June 30, 2012 from the Principal/Registrar of his or her college stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements of obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree on the date of the issue of the certificate.
CAT 2012 Registration
The sale of the CAT 2012 Vouchers from the Axis Bank branches will start from Monday, July 30, 2012 and the last day of sale is Monday, September 17, 2012. The cost of the CAT 2011 Voucher is Rs. 1600. After purchasing the CAT 2012 Voucher, you have to visit the www.catiim.in website for registration. The registration window will start from Monday, July 30, 2012 and close on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
Test Centers
CAT 2012 will be held across 36 cities across India. On visiting the CAT 2012 website, you can choose their test center across those cities.
CAT 2012 Score
The result of CAT 2012 will be declared on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. The candidates are advised to keep the print out of their score card.
CAT 2012 scores will be accepted by the 13 IIMs, including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, IIM Kashipur, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, RGIIM Shillong, IIM Tiruchhirapalli and IIM Udaipur.
The CAT 2012 website has given the list of 106 B-schools across India which will accept the CAT 2012 scores.
