CAT 2012@ Should IIMs give CAT 2012 takers a choice of section to start their exam? Have your say

While taking the tough MBA entrance exam like CAT, the CAT takers spend a lot of time in preparing the strategy of taking the exam. The strategy includes choosing the right section to start with, the number of questions to be attempted in each section to name a few. But after the change made in the CAT pattern in 2011, the test takers hardly have the liberty to make the strategy for themselves.

Till CAT 2010, the test takers had the choice to start the exam with any of the three sections, Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning according to their convenience and comfort level. But according to the change brought in the pattern of CAT 2011, it is mandatory for the test takers to start the exam with Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation section.  The next section which appears after 70 minutes is Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

Now the question is, are the CAT aspirants happy with this change? Or they would rather choose for themselves which section they want to start the CAT exam with? To know the view of our readers, MBAUniverse.com is conducting a poll on the question, ‘Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation or Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning? Should IIMs give CAT 2012 takers a choice of section to start their exam?’

As a CAT 2012 aspirant, what is your take on this? Would you like to have choice between sections for CAT 2012 or you are comfortable to start your exam with any section which IIMs give you? To share your views and opinion, participate in MBAUniverse.com ‘Have Your Say’ section.
